FOLKSANA – Terms and Conditions of Purchase

Welcome to FOLKSANA, your gateway to the rich tapestry of Indian handcrafted products. Before making a purchase, please take a moment to read and understand our Terms and Conditions. By using our website and making a purchase, you agree to comply with these terms. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to reach out to our customer support team.
1. Product Information:
- We strive to provide accurate and detailed information about each product, including dimensions, materials, and craftsmanship.
- Variations in color, texture, and design may occur due to the handmade nature of our products. Such variations are a testament to their authenticity and should be embraced.
- The color of the product also varies from devices to devices, gadgets to gadgets due system setting of display color and brightness. Accordingly, there will be minor variation on the color and representation from the picture and physical products.
2. Pricing and Payments:
- All prices on our website are in the local currency and inclusive of applicable taxes.
- We reserve the right to change product prices without prior notice. However, once an order is placed, the price remains unchanged.
- Payments are processed securely through our payment gateway partners. We accept various payment methods for your convenience.
3. Order Confirmation:
- Upon successful payment, you will receive an order confirmation via email. Please review the details carefully and contact us immediately if any discrepancies are noted.
4. Shipping and Delivery:
- We aim to process and dispatch orders promptly. Shipping times may vary based on your location and the product’s origin.
- Shipping and logistics are performed by contracted third party vendor. Even we strive to dispatch orders promptly, there might be some delays if things are beyond our control.
- Any delays or issues with shipping will be communicated to you in a timely manner.
5. Cancellation Policy:
Order Cancellation by Customer:
- You may cancel your order within 24 hours of placing it by contacting our customer support at contact@folksana.com.
- If your order has already been processed or shipped within this timeframe, the cancellation may not be possible.
Cancellation after 24 Hours:
- After 24 hours, we cannot guarantee cancellations as the order may have already entered the processing or shipping phase.
6. Returns and Exchanges:
Folksana accepts returns of unworn/unused products with the original tags attached. We offer free return shipping within 7 days of purchase. You can choose to exchange the product, return it for store credit, or get a refund to your original payment method.
Product return or exchange due minor colour variation is not entertained, as there might be variation on physical product color and media image color due device display setting of color, brightness and saturation etc. Accordingly,
We accept return of goods only if the product found to be damaged or any wrong product delivered due some loss of coordination.
If the product found to be damaged or found with some manufacturing defect, we accept the return with the following condition:
- We accept returns or exchanges within a specified timeframe, provided the product is in its original condition.
- Customized or personalized items may not be eligible for return or exchange unless found damaged or defective.
Products received in damaged condition shall be intimated through email communication immediately on receipt of the product with the picture evidence. To avoid any dispute, it is strongly recommended to record a video while opening the product from original packing to establish the transportation damage of the product.
If the returned items have visible sign of wear or do not have tags attached, your return will not be eligible for a refund or exchange.
Items purchased against some Coupon cannot be returned for a refund nor exchanged. Jewellery must be returned within 4 days of purchase.
To return a purchased item, follow the steps below:
- Email us your order number and state which items you would like to return.
- Make sure the items you’re returning do not have any visible signs of use and have the original tags on.
- Package the products into their original packaging.
- Put the products into shipment packaging and label it.
We will process your return within 10 days of receiving it and items will be assessed whether or not they are eligible for refund.
7. Refund Policy:
Eligibility for Refund:
- Refunds will only be issued for eligible cancellations as per the Cancellation Policy.
- Refunds are processed based on the original payment method.
Refund Processing Time:
- Refunds will be processed within 10 business days after the cancellation is confirmed.
- If your return products are accepted, you will get the refund within 14 to 30 days of the return.
8. Quality Assurance:
- Every product undergoes a thorough quality check before dispatch. In the rare event of receiving a damaged or defective item, please contact us immediately for assistance.
9. Limitation of Liability and Disclaimer of Warranties
General Limitation:
- FOLKSANA and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, revenue, or data, arising from or in connection with the use or purchase of our handcrafted items.
Limitation of Liability for Handcrafted Items:
- Handcrafted items, by their nature, may have slight variations in color, texture, or design. FOLKSANA shall not be held liable for these natural variations, as they are inherent to the artistic and handcrafted process.
Third-Party Liability:
- FOLKSANA shall not be responsible for the actions or products of third-party artisans or sellers featured on our platform. Any disputes arising from transactions with third parties should be addressed directly with the respective artisan or seller.
Disclaimer of Warranties:
a) As-Is Basis:
- FOLKSANA sells handcrafted items on an “as-is” basis. We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement of our handcrafted items.
b) Variations in Handcrafted Items:
- Handcrafted items may have minor imperfections, variations, or irregularities that contribute to their uniqueness. These characteristics are not considered defects, and FOLKSANA disclaims any warranties regarding the uniformity of these handcrafted products.
c) No Guarantee of Perfection:
- FOLKSANA does not guarantee that handcrafted items will be free from defects or errors. While we strive for quality, the artisanal and handmade nature of the products implies a degree of uniqueness that may include variations.
d) Third-Party Artisans:
- FOLKSANA acts as a platform to connect customers with third-party artisans and sellers. We do not provide warranties for products created by these artisans, and any warranties must be addressed directly with the respective artisan or seller.
Indemnification:
- By purchasing handcrafted items from FOLKSANA, you agree to indemnify and hold FOLKSANA and its affiliates harmless from any claims, damages, or losses arising from the use or purchase of our handcrafted items.
